Here's something to ponder about on Christmas day!
“Infinite and yet an infant.
Eternal and yet born of a woman.
Almighty, and yet nursing at a woman’s breast.
Supporting a universe, and yet needing to be carried in a mother’s arms.
Heir of all things, and yet the carpenter’s despised son.”
by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
"That man should be made in God's image is a wonder,
but that God should be made in man's image is a greater wonder.
That the Ancient of Days would be born.
That He who thunders in the heavens should cry in the cradle?"
-Thomas Watson
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we have seen his glory,
glory as of the only Son from the Father,
full of grace and truth.”
(John 1:14)

ReplyDeleteJust few words to reflect upon today's reading, I was reminded of God's sovereignty. Even the evil king, Herold, tried to use his power to kill baby Jesus, yet God used the villain king to fulfill His master plan. God is sovereign and He is in control at all times. Even we are living this chaotic world and age of uncertainty, we can rest assure that everything is going the way that God planned. This is also true in every individual's life. When we put our trust in God and know that His ways are perfect, we can give praises and thanksgiving in all circumstances. There is no worries and fear knowing that God is with us until the very end.
wow...unbelievable...
